Description

John Pickering’s play fuses morality structures and characters such as the Vice with the classical story of Orestes’ revenge on his mother, Clytemnestra, for his father’s death. The Society’s edition reproduces the 1567 edition printed by William Griffith, A Newe Enterlude of Vice Conteyninge the Historye of Horestes with the Cruell Revengement of his Fathers Death, Upon his One Naturill Mother.
