The Marriage of Wit and Wisdom was written by Francis Merbury around 1579. The Society’s edition is a diplomatic transcript of the unique MS (British Library, Add. MS 26782), which is of especial interest for its resemblance to a printed edition; it was prepared by T.N.S. Lennam.
